Having heard our children praying for the Prime Minister it was great to hear his speech addressing church leaders made as part of the 400 years of the King James Bible celebrations. Cameron described Christianity and the Bible as being ‘inherently involved in politics’ due to the moral nature of many political questions. He demonstrated a new boldness in declaring the foundations of our nation, stating that, “The values we draw from the Bible go to the heart of what it means to belong in this country…” and opposing the tendency to “be shy or frightened of this” heritage.
